Gaylin's Bath Shoppe has been in business since 1945. Opened after World War II by Harry and Sophie Gordon in the Bronx when Harry returned from the Pacific were he saw action while attached the U.S. Navy. Harry and Sophie had three children and balanced between building a business and raising a family.
The business grew through the years and in 1960 Harry and his oldest son Walter took over Gaylin's on the Grand Concourse (modeled after the Champs Elysee) in the West Bronx.
In 1965 Harry and Walter open a new store in Rockland County, New York. It was a continuation of their dedication to serve the public for all their needs at the right prices. After Harry retired Walter continued running the business with his wife Elaine and their three children (Neil, Craig and June).
Twenty five years later Walter and Elaine relocated to Boca Raton, Florida. The new Gaylin's store was located at the Polo Club Shoppes until April 2009. At that time the business was changed from "bricks to clicks". Find us 24/7 on the Internet at www.gaylins.com
